I just independently discovered (because of a copy/paste error) that only the tweet ID in URL matters. After some digging, found out it's been a bug/feature since 2012 except they don't use #! URLs anymore and it still works shkspr.mobi/blog/2012/05/interesting-twitter-hashbang-bug/
