I'm all for this. FWIW, I used
git bisectto find the fist instance of "master" github.com/git/git/commit/cad88fdf8d1ebafb5d4d1b92eb243ff86bae740b) I couldn't find any explanation of the choice from Linus. So I can only guess, at best, it was arbitrary to disassociate from other VCSs at the time. Time for a change @lgarron/1271212268294823938Mood +3 🙂
