WRT burden, I also feel there is an amount of professionalism related to time management and prioritization that overlaps with configuring notification settings or otherwise not checking messages when they would interfere with the expected work-life balance.Permalink

Overall, I think there's a balance of burden to be shared. It will be different for different folks, but my feeling is there is some baseline “should”.Permalink
